From towers to trenches, we remember Edmund John Webb
September’s Branch Autumn Meeting took place at Bradwell. The bells were rung in memory of three WW1 North Bucks ringers: Edmund John Webb from Maids Moreton who died on the 15th August 1915, William George Spires from Bradwell and Anthony Joseph Fennemore from Leckhampstead who both died on the 25th September 1915.
There was a good turnout of ringers and the ringing ranged from Plain Bob to Surprise Minor.
After the ringing more people joined the service which was focused on ringing, ringers and the war. The Branch WW1 Memorial Candle was lit during the service and information on both men was displayed next to the Candle.
