Ringing for MK50 in 2017

Ringing for MK50

Milton Keynes was 50 years old on 23 January 2017, and there are various celebrations happening throughout 2017, including ringing. Ringing at BletchleyTo kick off the celebrations the bells at St Mary’s, Bletchley were rung on the 23rd January from 16:45 to 17:30 by the local band (assisted by other members of the branch) immediately prior to the official launch of the MK50 celebrations at Bletchley Park (and hopefully within earshot).

During 2017 a Quarter Peal is being rung in every tower that was included in the boundaries of the New Town of Milton Keynes in 1967.

On 4 November, as part of the celebrations,  we will ring bells across all of Milton Keynes.
